*Spoilers for current DC Comic Issues*

So, right now there is a lot going on with DC and their All In initiative. You’ve got the entire Absolute universe which has been absolutely fantastic. Then, you have got all these awesome titles that revolve around the plot of the Watchtower and some weird stuff that’s been going on there. In this post, I want to keep an updated tracking of what has been happening and when. So check back on this post as new information comes out!

Prologue

Absolute Power

So, the Absolute Power event is really the prologue to what started all of the happenings that are going on in the DC Universe right now. It started off when Amanda Waller pulled off the biggest stunt of her career, she stole all of the powers from our favorite super heroes. She did this through the abilities of advanced Super-Amazos. These Amazos were able to not only copy the powers of the heroes but also absorbed their powers completely. Leaving our favorite heroes defenseless, in such a case that a bank robber shot Superman with a regular bullet and it hurt him.

Our favorite heroes were down for the count and struggling to get back up. But as always, hope prevailed and through a convoluted plan where Green Arrow thought he was a bad guy but was subliminally helping, they defeated Amanda Waller and her Super Amazos. After defeating the Super Amazos, the powers were returned to the super heroes. But, the power sets weren’t all returned to the correct people or the right powers to the right people. This set up one of the earliest mysteries in DC All In.

The New League

After Amanda almost won, the Justice League is reformed bigger and better. Everyone works together to create new League cards that can boom tube you anywhere you need to go, including the new Watchtower. This new Watchtower is large enough to house every hero and deal with any threat. They throw a welcome meeting for the all of the new Leaguers and showcase a blank ID card that represents the next member in the ever growing League. Then suddenly the card glows red with Omega energy and Darkseid appears.

Darkseid’s Plans

At the same time that the heroes defeat Amanda Waller, Darkseid builds a Miracle Machine because he needs an answer to a question. He wants to know the source of a mysterious energy wave he felt. When the machine is operational, he sets out to find the Spectre, and with his Miracle Machine he wishes to become the Spectre. In a last ditch effort to save the world, Jim Corrigan the former Spectre transports Darkseid to the new Watchtower.

On the new Watchtower, the new Justice League fights the Darkseid Spectre and through a magically enhanced Superman they “end” Darkseid. After Darkseid “ends”, he is reborn in a new universe unconnected from any ties to the multiverse, here he creates the Absolute Universe. This is a world driven by challenge and turmoil instead of hope and life.

Booster Gold’s Discovery

After the League defeats Darkseid, the Omega card leaves a rift in space and time. Mr. Terrific states that it has a chaotic vibration and that only people who have an abundance of tachyon particles can traverse through the portal. Booster Gold signs up for the mission as he is a frequent time traveler. Mr. Terrific attaches a tether to Skeets that will take him back in ten minutes. When he goes through the portal he is disconnected from Skeets, but is determined to complete his mission.

He sees a Legion ring but notices an Omega symbol on it. He attempts to radio back to the League but an undetermined force erases the memory of Booster going and the League believe it is unwise to investigate the portal. The last moment we see Booster he is looking up at a sky full of the Legion of Superheroes but they are twisted by Darkseid.

Recap of Prologue

So, lets review the two mysteries we have right now.

  • Powers in the wrong place due to Amazos
  • Booster Gold is trapped, and the League don’t know they sent him

Beginning of All In

Here we are going to try to put all of the events that have happened so far in chronological order. If a mystery is solved we will note it in bold.

In the series, The Question: All Along the Watchtower, Renee Montoya is recruited to be the security guard aboard the Watchtower because of a mysterious infection in the Watchtower systems. Conduit attacks the Watchtower and he is stopped but revealed to be a robot. Kenn Kawa, a Challenger is found to gravely injured.

In issue 2 of The The Question: All Along the Watchtower, security camera footage shows Batwoman letting a feral cat into Kenn Kawa’s room. The Eradicator appears in the Armory that the Bulleteer is guarding she goes to stop him but is strangely swayed not too. Later, after he attacks Batwoman and The Question, the Bulleteer regains her composure and stops the Eradicator with the help of Ted Kord.

In issue 3, while interrogating Eradicator, they are attacked by Nightshade who stalls them long enough to get Cyborg Superman out of the Phantom Zone and causing the Watchtower to attack its residents. Cyborg Superman is working with the Conduit robot, Eradicator, and a possible mind controlled Nightshade.

In the Challengers of the Unknown issue 1, the Challengers don’t know about the injury to Kenn Kawa and have been working on investigating the Watchtower since Darkseid and have not come up with any conclusions. Mr. Terrific assigns them to a new task investigating anomalies created from Darkseid’s disappearance.

  • DS-Anomaly A
    • Indestructible Impenetrable Glass on Mars
  • DS-Anomaly B
    • A rupture on the floor of the Great Blue Hole emitting a radio signal
  • DS-Anomaly C

Ace and Superman get assigned to DS-Anomaly A, where Superman attempts to hit it with all of his force. But by focusing on a single ion with his heat vision, Superman is able to cut off a piece. As he cuts, Ace has a vision of his life and how it could have been different. Miss Martian, also stationed on Mars, is able to shake him from his reverie. They asks what happened and he lies saying it was just a headache. He is put under quarantine by Mr. Terrific. He believes that the Challengers have become anomalies themselves and has Superman vaporize all of DS-Anomaly A.

In issue 2 Aquaman, Batman, and June go investigate DS-Anomaly B and they learn that it is broadcasting the word Mother. Robotic sea life attack everyone but June as she learns it is the voice of her old creation Ultivac speaking to her telepathically. Batman and June track down Ultivac in Kashmir on the Karakoram Mountain Range. He attempts to kill Batman as he only will speak to June. Ultivac claims that with no Darkseid there is no power of the death in this reality, and that the new now stains threatens their omega. He continues to say they are not long for this new world, that they will vanish just as Darkseid did. Ultivac states that he must acquire power so that he can locate Darkseid and access his omega, if he does not then he and the Challengers will be come nothing. Batman shocks Ultivac with an EMP before he finishes.
